I began my career in early childhood education in 2015, and I started at Casa Bambini South Plympton in 2021. Before working in early childhood education, I worked within special education in primary school classrooms.
I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care while also nearing the end of the Bachelor of Early Years and Primary Education. I have held multiple hands-on roles as a behavioural therapist, educator, government Early Years Program coordinator and specialist support coordinator for families and children with disabilities. I have always enjoyed working hands-on within rooms to see how each child and group responds to learning experiences.
As an Early Childhood Specialist, I have always had a passion and drive to see children grow and develop to their best ability. I also have the motivation required to encourage and build on educator skillsets to grow within themselves to scaffold learning experiences and environments for children and their families.
I base my pedagogy around scaffolding opportunities to ensure the children feel heard, respected and supported to become thriving young citizens. In my time working hands-on with children, the idea of slowing down may seem challenging for some, but this is when the most
important interactions and moments of inquiry happen. When we, the educator, stop, take the few moments to have a wonderful moment of interaction with you and the child.
My passion as an early childhood specialist is to provide children with a Reggio-based environment that is wholesome, rich and supportive of their needs and the family’s needs. This is done by being sensitive to children’s religious beliefs, developmental stages, home lives, and unique family situations.
There are so many benefits to children learning within a centre-based environment. A few key benefits are exposing children to diversity outside their family, the construction of key foundational social skills required for amazing interactions with their peers, being supported by incredible and dedicated educators with a rich curriculum that is sculpted to the group’s interests.
Children are also intellectually stretched whilst attending early childhood education services and have the opportunity to become more independent across all developmental domains.

Reviews and Testimonials
Here’s what some of our parents have to say about our centre:
“We have recently started our 8 month old daughter at Casa Bambini South Plympton and I am so impressed! Chelsea and her team have been so compassionate and caring with their support as we navigate this new experience of having our first baby cared for outside the family. We have been looked after exceptionally well and we are truly grateful. The children are all so loved and very well looked after. The educators Sara and Aqsa in the infants room always take the time to answer our questions and tell us about how our daughter has been throughout the day when we arrive to pick her up. They are always happy to chat when we call to check in. Our daughter loves attending Casa, we are so very happy and highly recommend it!”
“As a parent that is studying and away from home, its a great relief to know that he is being well looked after and educated at the same time. The staff are a great bunch of women who genuinely love to be there, and are also learning the new centre and loving being there. We haven’t looked back. Absolutely no regrets in choosing this centre. Hope this helps someone choose this centre as I to was nervous and anxious, but in the end my child is safe, happy and wants to go back.”
